Blessings in the Gospel’s Power
John joyfully serves ALL the tech needs of the church as well as supporting several teams that are tackling, among other things, a potential building project & outreach events. John's BIG news is that he's actively pursuing his private pilot's license & aiming for a future career as an airline pilot! Please pray with us the Lord will continue to use & guide him.
Shannon continues to lead the women's Bible study & outreach groups consistently & well. Several currently regular attenders started their journey with our church through a connection with & as a direct result of Shannon's grace-energized efforts. Please pray the Lord will guide more & more souls to Him through Shannon's intentional outreach & shepherding.
Dave's sermons are back online after John & others completed a nearly year-long effort to work out technical bugs & bandwidth issues that are a challenge in such a rural area. You can now find those posted on Mondays on the church's Facebook page at facebook.com/MiddletonGospel or Dave's YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc_11DnoazceCUm4ivt7s2Q
The Gospel's Power--After 47+ years together, then recently hearing God's design for marriage from Dave, the Spirit convicted Bill & Lisa to get married & our whole church celebrated with them the power of the Gospel in their lives! Within days of their wedding, though, Lisa was diagnosed with a still undetermined type of cancer. The specifics should be available soon, but it's common for deep tests of faith to follow great grace given to obey the Lord, so please pray with us for complete healing for Lisa & grace to endure well until He heals.
Summer Gospel Outreach--Middleton Gospel Chapel, our family, & King's Park will host FIREWORKS at 9:00 PM on July 5th & invite our whole area of 2,000+ people! We'll be giving away basketballs, Bibles, & invitations to Sunday mornings, Bible studies, & other ways to connect with us. We'll lower the goalposts that day so families with small children can enjoy the park even more than normal. One of our regular attenders will be doing a live chainsaw carving demonstration (a Bible verse on a flag is the plan) & he's bringing two of his friends who will play live music throughout the day. There's more planned, but those are some highlights. Please pray for Gospel conversations to be had by many & for those to spread & God's Word glorified, as 2 Thessalonians 3:1 describes.
A Gospel Giving Opportunity--We'd love to be able to give away 100 Bibles at the event & also have a need for 50 new pew Bibles as the ones we have are very old, but at $13 each, that's $1,950 we don't have right now. Would you be willing to help us buy Bibles to be used at the church every Sunday & to be given away? If so, thank you, may the Lord repay you, & you can GIVE ONLINE BY CLICKING HERE.
Finally, a BIG THANK YOU to those of you who gave us cold feet during our visit to Kalamazoo by blessing our socks off in every way we could imagine & beyond! You know who you are, so does the Lord Who will repay, & it's impossible to name you all here, but we do want to publicly thank & bless the ministries of: Pastor John Koller & the saints of VXV Church in Three Rivers, Pastor Don Filcek of ReCAST Church in Mattawan, Pastor Davis Moore of Corner Bible Church in Allegan, & Missionary Justin McCoy with the Navigators, who helped bear our load & host us in ways that were above & beyond kind.
As always, we 3 Scotts in New Hampshire love you. Jesus loves you MORE & He's all any of us really need! Amen?
Dave, Shannon, & John Scott
