Celebrate God’s Everlasting Goodness

Hi friends & family,

Let’s dive right in!

FROM SHANNON’S HEART

Our trip to Kalamazoo was refreshing and encouraging! I am so thankful for the opportunity to reconnect, catch up, and fellowship with friends. The way each of you encourages me in my faith is a blessing to me, and my heart is full!

We started our spring women’s Bible study on Spiritual Disciplines when we got home. God brought a couple of new friends from the community to our study. It’s extra special when we get to see God drawing others to Himself.

In July we are hosting a two-week, VBS-style LEGO Camp called “Bible Bricks Camp.” The first week we’ll focus on Old Testament events that point to Jesus, and the second week will be all about Jesus. Each day we’ll read from the Bible, sing songs and memorize key verses, play games, and of course there will be an epic LEGO building challenge that coincides with the Bible lesson. For example, on day 2 of camp, we’ll read about Adam & Eve and Noah and talk about sin and its consequences. We’ll memorize Romans 5:8 and Romans 6:23 with help from a Seeds Family Worship song. In the Noah’s Ark LEGO Challenge, the kids will build a boat/ark according to my specifications. Then we’ll test each boat in the water to see if it will float and to see how many animals it will hold. Awards will be given for boats that float, boats that hold animals, and also for creative artistry and design.

This camp will be an introduction to an ongoing “Bible Bricks” LEGO Club, with Bible teaching and LEGO challenges, that we’ll host throughout the school year. I’ve had this dream of creating this program for several years, and I’m so excited to see it starting soon! There are a few LEGO-type items that we still need in order to start and sustain this program. I created a registry with Amazon that contains the items we need to get this going. If the Lord is leading you to donate to this project, here is the link:

FROM JOHN’S HEART

Hello everyone! A lot has happened since the last update, It was fun to visit Kalamazoo and see some of my friends, and just seeing Kalamazoo again after four whole years. On the flights to/from Kalamazoo, after not flying for 5 years, it really sparked my interest in aircraft, so that’s been fun to learn more about recently.

As soon as we returned from Kalamazoo, my dad drove a van full of our church people here to the Ark in Kentucky, which was very fun because I got to go there with one of my friends. I never realized how big the Ark was, and the Creation Museum was amazing! I am now running all of the technical stuff at our church, and I hope to start doing livestreams once we can work with our internet provider to get our speeds up a bit in our rural area, which my dad and I are working on now.

Loved ones, there’s SO MUCH to be DEEPLY THANKFUL for that I (Dave) dare not even attempt to share more than bullet points here below as each of these could be lengthy prayers of celebration & praise over the GOD’S GOODNESS in, around, & through our family.

Here we goooooooooo!

We 3 Scott’s are EXCITED to report that our monthly financial support levels have now risen to 83%, due to:

1) a few new recurring donors just since we celebrated Easter,

2) the continuing faithfulness of those who have walked with us these past 4+ years in our ongoing mission to spread the Gospel wherever He sends our family, &

3) the Lord’s answer to 4+ years of specific prayers for us to discover our family’s FIRST SUPPORTING CHURCH—VXV Church in Three Rivers, Michigan has encouraged our hearts in nearly unspeakable ways by joining us in the cheerful, sacrifice of investing in the Gospel’s reach here in the spiritually darkest corner of our country. You can find them online at: vxvchurch.com

If the Lord’s leading you to invest in His work with us, you can do that here:

APRIL contained 3 trips—our visit back to Kalamazoo, our church’s trip to visit the Answer in Genesis Ark Encounter, & then a trip for Dave to Oklahoma to be with his mom & dad in the hours before his mother passed & in the days that followed, to comfort family, officiate mom’s homegoing service, & express supernatural confidence in the Gospel that brings hope & peace in such times. Thank you for your KIND & THOUGHTFUL support in every way during that rich, full, & challenging 30 days!

MAY was all about catching our breaths, resetting, resting, & planning for our most full season of ministry where we are now—SUMMERTIME!!
